Dr. Ajinkya Achalare is a distinguished consultant Orthopaedic Arthroscopy, Sports and Shoulder surgeon with an extensive experience in the field of sports medicine.

He completed residency at renowned Sancheti Institute of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation, Pune and secured Master of Surgery (MS) in Orthopaedics from Maharashtra University of Health Sciences with distinction.
​
He secured an additional post-graduate degree, Diplomate of National Board in Medical Sciences (DNB) in Orthopaedics from National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
​
His interest for the field of sports medicine was cultivated during his residency days.​

Dr. Ajinkya’s Expertise and Journey in Sports Medicine and Arthroscopy
He honed his expertise in Arthroscopy during a year-long Clinical Fellowship under the guidance of Dr. Nilesh Kamat at Sancheti and Jehangir Hospitals, Pune, where he developed advanced clinical and surgical skills and published research in esteemed international journals.

He was selected for the prestigious Dr. Gopalakrishnan Fellowship by Indian Arthroscopy Society, during which he was mentored by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala at the Centre for Sports Medicine, Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai. During this stint, he mastered the techniques of managing complex sports injuries in elite athletes, their rehabilitation and 'return to sports'. He was felicitated for the same at the annual conference of Indian Arthroscopy Society held at Lucknow in 2023.

To expand the horizons of his skills, Dr. Ajinkya pursued a long-term clinical fellowship in Arthroscopy and Sports Services at Singapore General Hospital under the expert guidance of Professor Denny TT Lie.
During this tenure, Dr.Ajinkya attended multiple workshops at world class cadaveric labs in Singapore, gained the hands-on experience of advanced techniques, cutting-edge technologies, and complex surgeries including multi-ligamentous injuries, joint preservation surgeries, meniscus transplant and primary and revision shoulder arthroplasties.

With an extensive exposure and expertise in the field, Dr. Ajinkya emphasizes on a rational, holistic and patient-centric approach to deliver ethical and effective care as per patient's functional needs.
